Smt. Latha Nair is the Founder of Amrithavarshini, a Kerala-based charitable society dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), commonly known as Brittle Bone Disease. For over two decades, she has devoted her life to providing care, dignity, empowerment, and opportunities to people living with this rare genetic disorder.
I am a very ordinary woman with a strong motive to help others. I had to engage myself to overcome my loneliness at a young age, and I chose this destiny to help out members of all ages suffering from brittle bone disease. As a first step, I educated myself about the disease. Thereafter, I can lessen their suffering due to the ailment. I have only one goal in my life that is to serve as many members as I can until God disposes otherwise.
Latha Nair has also launched a new initiative, Koode Koottam, aimed at supporting women from financially weaker backgrounds. This newly formed women’s collective forum works towards empowering women across different strata of society by fostering mutual support, inclusion, and opportunities for growth.
Amrithavarshini Home is a compassionate care center dedicated to individuals with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). We provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment focused on dignity, support, and empowerment.
